WORKFLOW

Material filling

The hopper or feeding machine is filled with powder or granules, after which the dosing unit fills the material is filled into dies.

Compression

In the pre-compression stage, the upper and lower punches are guided to deposit a a small amount of material into the die to remove the air. It also helps to shorten the following compression stage. The punches then pass material to the main compression rollers where a predetermined amount of pressure acts on them, resulting in a compact solid—a tablet with desired weight, thickness, and diameter.

Tablet ejection

After main compression, the upper punches are pulled by the upper guide returning them to the initial position. At the same time, the lower punches move upwards to eject the tablets out of the dies. The tablets are then transferred to the discharge port.

What is a single punch tablet press machine?

The single punch tablet press machine is a type of tablet press machine that is designed to compress dry powder or granular into tablets with uniform size and weight. They are widely used in the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, herbal, and food industries for their ability to compress tablets into different shapes using different dies. Some single punch tablet press machines are designed with an automatic tablet ejection system that helps to improve the efficiency of the tablet production process.

What are the different types of tablet machines?

tablet press machines are classified by speed as low speed, mid speed, sub-high speed, and high speed. Depending on the number of dies, tablet press machines can be single punch or rotary. Some tablet press machines are designed for special purposes such as making scored tablets, bilayer tablets, or tablet with a hole in the center. tablet press machines can be equipped with various accessories such as tablet coating pan, dust extractor, or tablet polishing machine. The size and weight of tablet press machines vary depending on the type and model.

Most tablet press machines are automatic, however there are some manual tablet press machines available. Automatic tablet press machines have many advantages over manual tablet press machines such as increased production capacity, reduced operator fatigue, and improved tablet quality.

When selecting a tablet press machine, it is important to consider the intended use of the machine and the desired tablet output. Other factors to consider include tablet size and shape, tablet hardness, fill weight, and ejection force.

What is the difference between upper punch and lower punch?

The tablet press machine is composed of an upper punch and a lower punch. The head of the upper punch (whose working position is downward) falls into the middle die hole from the upper end, and goes down a certain stroke to press the powder into tablets; the head of the lower punch (whose working position is upward) extends into the middle die hole to seal the bottom of the middle die hole. The upper punch lifts out of the hole. The lower punch rises to push the tablet out of the middle die hole to complete the tableting process.

The tablet press machine can be used for various kinds of pharmaceutical tablets, including uncoated tablets, coated tablets, sugar-coated tablets, and enteric-coated tablets. The tablet press machine can also be used for pressing granules into different shapes of tablets. There are many types of tablet press machines, such as single punch tablet press machine, rotary tablet press machine, and hydraulic tablet press machine.

The upper punch and lower punch are the two important parts of the tablet press machine. The upper punch is also called the die, and the lower punch is also called the punches. The tablet press machine works by using these two parts to press the powder into tablets. The upper punch falls into the middle die hole from the upper end, and goes down a certain stroke to press the powder into tablets. The lower punch extends into the middle die hole to seal the bottom of the tablet.
